We've had some rough weather today coming from what's left of hurricane Fay.  I wasn't sure I was going to make it to work this morning.  I couldn't see anything but the lights of other cars because it was raining so hard.  Then in the afternoon, there was a tornado warning because one was spotted in a nearby town.  I was in a meeting at a middle school.  The kids had to go into the hall and crouch.  They let us continue our meeting, but I was a little nervous because there was a lot of extra furniture in that room.   I recently had a dream about a tornado, too.  The tornado never came near us though.  Coming home from the gym tonight, there was a flooded area on my road.  I found another way home.  This hasn't been as bad as Hurricanes Floyd and Fran, but still it's the worst weather we've had in awhile.  Something about those f named hurricanes in NC.  Poor kitties stuck outside :(  I wanted to sneak them in, but then my husband would probably not be able to breathe tonight.  Which reminds me I need to call him to let him know about the flooded road.  I hope people are driving carefully tonight.  A lot of them weren't this morning.  I don't understand how people can continue to drive 60 mph or more when they can't see where they're going.

We might have some icy roads in the morning.  I hope not.  I'd love to have some snow but not ice.  Either way, it's going to be miserably cold and rainy.

The good news:  UNC won and Duke lost last night!  That's all it takes to make a good night for me.  Also good I ordered a wedding dress last weekend.  Now to plan the ceremony and the honeymoon and get the ring.  My mom actually seems excited about the wedding.  She thinks we should have it in my front yard and has all these ideas for decorations and flowers.  Anyone ever been to a wedding at home?
